Technical Information

  • Material
    6061 Aluminum
  • Weight
    56g
  • Finish
    Anodized
  • Anodized Color
    Black, Purple or Silver
  • Cable Pull
    Short Pull ↓

Short pull brake levers have less leverage than long pull brake levers and pull a shorter amount of cable as they are actuated.
They are intended only for use with short pull brakes, such as side pull caliper brakes, cantilever brakes, centerpull brakes and mini-v brakes.

  • Clamp Size
    22.2mm or 23.8mm ↓

22.2mm is equivalent to 7/8 inches, and is the diameter of most mountain bike handlebars. Many flat bars, risers and city bars have this diameter. It is measured at the end of the bar where grips and brake levers attach.

23.8mm is the diameter of most road handlebars. Drop bars, bull horns, and other handlebars designed for road bike will often have this diameter. It is measured in the "grip" area of the bar, not the larger diameter area where the stem attaches.

Product Story

There’s something to be said for the clean looks of bare track handlebars, but riding brakeless can be hazardous on the road. The E-Lever is a tiny brake lever that keeps your handlebars looking clean while providing that extra braking power when needed.

The E-Lever is available in either black or silver anodized, as well as polished. The polished version has a mirror finish and looks especially great on chromed drop bars or next to a polished quill stem.

Because of its compact design, the E-Lever has less leverage than our other brake levers. For this reason we cannot recommend it for use as the sole method of braking. The E-Lever should only be used in conjunction with other brake mechanisms such as a fixed gear hub or coaster brake. For a similar brake lever with greater leverage, take a look at our Cross Lever.

We make this lever in two clamp diameters to fit road and mountain handlebars. The 23.8mm version fits on the narrower grip section of road handlebars. The 22.2mm version fits standard mountain bike handlebars. There is an integrated barrel adjuster for quick adjustments.

*SOLD OUT-Thanks for the orders!* Last weekend we *SOLD OUT-Thanks for the orders!*
Last weekend we were tearing out the crawl space above the bathroom and found this giant box of old derailiures. We were going to try to recycle them as scrap but somebody said there might be interest in these weird old things so we put them up on the website for $25 each. There are about 250 of them, so if nobody wants them, we’ll probably try to figure out a way to recycle them. ♻️🚮
We’re SUPER excited about this new trail network o We’re SUPER excited about this new trail network opening just up the mountain from us above Butte Meadows! Two trails are already finished, with 5 or 6 more in the works, and an eventual plan to connect this to the @sierratrails Connected Communities trails. Yeah, this is big!
So… we asked @the.scorps if he’d be willing to donate artwork for a fundraiser T-Shirt, and he doodled up this fun drawing of the Colby Mountain Lookout. These are VERY limited edition, so if you want a sweet rare McNally shirt while raising money for a killer trail system in Lassen National Forest, head to our website quick before they’re gone!

It’s no secret our water bottles are made in the U It’s no secret our water bottles are made in the USA by @specialized_custom and it’s also no secret we’re passionate about recycling around here. Well, they just started offering a couple new bottles made entirely from 100% recycled material. While we aren’t crazy about putting more plastic out in the world, it may as well be 100% recycled AND recyclable, so we’re offering this option in our Dune Buggy bottle, in this Teal color. Soooo…. Did this thirst trap of @jxrad trick you into reading this far? ♻️
Happy Friday! Paul designed our first seatpost (th Happy Friday! Paul designed our first seatpost (the “Tall & Handsome”) with 26mm of setback to accommodate Brooks saddles, and while it’s become a cult classic, we’ve had requests for years now for something of the same high quality in a zero offset. We took the extra design time to dial in every feature WE want to see in a simple, reliable, beautiful seatpost, then machined it to our super high tolerances right here in Chico California. Head over to our website and get to know this elegant new family member, it’s in stock and shipping now!
